Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
Our virtual private server plans come with three Linux releases that you can select from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Aside from being cost-free, the OSs are very stable and protected and the key reason to offer all three of them is to ensure that you'll be able to run each app that you'd like, as different pieces of software may have different requirements in terms of the environment they can be used on. Each of the three OSs is supported by a large community of developers who have produced a large number of software packages that you can set up and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System that you choose, you will also be able to select between three different Control Panels to take care of your web hosting content. Of course, if you decide that you need a new OS, we can always re-install the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also offer you weekly updates of the OS for maximum stability and security.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're absolutely free so they will not increase the cost of your new server, but also because they are very secure and stable. Each of them is supported by a vast community of developers, so you'll be able to choose from a myriad of software packages that you could install on your server if the application that you intend to employ has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what web hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and because we would like to give you as much flexibility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a given OS, we can change it upon request in case it turns out that you will need a different one. We will also keep the OS updated weekly as a part of our optional Managed Services upgrade.
